The Yukihira Pan
A traditional Japanese style cooking pan.
An Everyday Piece of Art
The Yukihira has been a staple in Japan since the mid-19th century, a ubiquitous piece of cookware found in households and restaurants today. It’s used to make essential recipes like dashi, miso soup and curry. The appearance is distinctly Japanese—a clean, minimalist style resembling fish scales—an everyday piece of art.
Authentic Japan Made
Yukihira is produced by Yoshikawa Group in Niigata Prefecture, one of the leading manufacturers of metals in Japan since 1952.
Design Meets Performance
There is purpose in the dimple pattern of the Yukihira. The pan is intentionally hammered to increase the surface area for better heat conductivity—especially helpful when making soups and stews. Hammering also produces a metal that is more dense, boosting strength and durability so it can handle the day to day demands of most kitchens.
Make Cooking Easy
- Yukihira includes a spout on both sides so you can transfer liquid safely with any hand.
- A scale is provided for measuring liquid with your Yukihira, saving you the extra step during prep.

- Yukihira is lightweight, weighing as little as 320g-550g.
